Why Is There No Master Set List for Pokémon Stellar Crown? (So I Made One)

If you’ve ever tried to complete a master set for a Pokémon TCG release, you know it’s not just a hobby—it’s a mission. And for fellow completionists like me, the new Scarlet & Violet — Stellar Crown set has been more frustrating than it should be. Over the past two days, I went down a rabbit hole, determined to find an official or fan made master set list that included everything from base cards, reverse holos, regular holos, full arts, secret rares, the works. Spoiler alert: I couldn’t find one. Not anywhere. So I decided to make my own. This blog post is for those of you who might be feeling just as confused or frustrated as I was. If you're trying to build a full Stellar Crown master set and can't seem to find a complete checklist that covers all variations, hopefully this post will help save you time—and maybe even some sanity.

What Exactly Is a Master Set?

Let’s start by defining what a master set means to collectors like myself. A master set isn’t just one of every card. It’s:

  • Every base card

  • Every holo variant (if applicable)

  • Every reverse holo

  • Every full art

  • All secret rares, including gold cards and special illustration rares

Some collectors stop at one version of each card, but for purists, every card number and its possible variant must be accounted for. That includes duplicates with alternate finishes—like the standard print and its reverse holo version. When it comes to Stellar Crown, that amounts to about 300 cards total. Yet, despite the set being widely discussed, broken down, and previewed online, not one site I visited had an actual master list that laid everything out in one place.

My Search for a Stellar Crown Master Set List

My journey started like most do: a quick Google search. I looked everywhere—from PokéBeach and PokéGuardian to Reddit, TCGplayer, and countless blogs and forums. There were breakdowns of the base set, lists of secret rares, and even card galleries, but no all-in-one list that combined base cards and their reverse holos, or showed how many total variants existed. To give you some context, I had no problem finding this kind of resource for other recent sets. Pokémon 151, for example, has a fantastic master list circulating online. It includes all the main cards and reverse holos in a well-organized, easy-to-follow format. So naturally, I expected the same for Stellar Crown. Nope. Nothing. Just partial lists. After hitting wall after wall, I figured: “If I can’t find one, maybe I need to make it myself.” And that's exactly what I did.

Why This Matters for Collectors

If you're a casual collector, you might not see the big deal. But for serious set builders—especially those who want to store everything neatly in a binder—organization is everything. It’s incredibly helpful to have a clean, complete list that shows:

  • Which cards have reverse holo versions

  • How many total cards are in the master set

  • Where the secret rares and illustration rares fit in sequence

  • What numbers or gaps to expect in your binder pages

Without a proper master set list, collectors risk:

  • Miscounting how many cards are actually needed

  • Overlooking reverse holos entirely

  • Missing out on obscure full arts or alternate prints

  • Constantly second-guessing if their binder is really “complete”

If you’re trying to stay organized and build your binder in card number order, having a real list—like the one I’ve now created—is a must.

The Solution: I Made the Master Set List for Stellar Crown

Since the community didn’t seem to have one, I took the time to create my own Stellar Crown master set checklist. It includes:

  • All base set cards (Commons, Uncommons, and Rares)

  • All reverse holo versions of those cards

  • All holo-only rares

  • Every illustration rare, special illustration rare, and hyper rare

  • Total count: ~300 cards (depending on secret variants)

I’ve built this with binders in mind, organized by card number so you can build it out page-by-page and leave room for reverses or rarities as needed. It’s helped me tremendously, and I know it’ll help other collectors too.

Final Thoughts: You're Not Alone in the Hunt

If you’re reading this and also struggling to figure out what’s actually in the Stellar Crown master set—you’re not crazy. The info is fragmented across multiple sources, and even sites that usually do a good job covering new Pokémon sets didn’t seem to put together a complete list this time around. I’m not sure why that is. Maybe the set dropped too quickly. So I did. And now, you can too. Let’s complete Stellar Crown Master Set one card at a time.
