The highly anticipated Pokémon TCG Mega Evolution set has hit a slight bump in the road for fans in certain regions. The Pokémon Company International (TPCi) announced that due to delivery and logistics challenges, the release of the new set will be delayed in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).
Instead of the original September 26, 2025 release date, players and collectors in these regions will now see the set arrive on October 10, 2025.

No Pokémon TCG Delay for U.S. Release
For fans in the United States and other unaffected regions, the Pokémon TCG Mega Evolution release date remains unchanged. The set will still be available on September 26, 2025, giving U.S. players an early advantage in both collecting and competitive play.
Competitive Play Legality Update
TPCi confirmed that for impacted regions, Mega Evolution cards will only become Standard-legal starting October 24, 2025. However, since the U.S. is not affected by this delay, players will still be able to use these new cards at the 2026 Milwaukee Regionals, keeping the competitive schedule on track.
Official Statement from The Pokémon Company
TPCi addressed the setback with an apology and reassured fans they are working to resolve the issue quickly:
“We apologise to our fans and understand that this news may be disappointing. We are working hard alongside our logistics partners to ensure products will be available for purchase from October 10, 2025. We would like to thank our community for their continued support and patience.”
What This Means for Collectors and Players
While this Pokémon TCG card delay may be frustrating for EMEA players, the two-week wait isn’t too long. The Mega Evolution set is expected to be one of the most exciting releases in recent memory, packed with powerful cards and fan-favorite artwork.
Collectors worldwide are already gearing up, and once stock arrives in delayed regions, the hype around this expansion will only grow stronger.
